Education and Qualifications

Kevin was awarded Master’s degree in Integrated Medicine in 2008 after 3 years study at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM). Prior to this he was awarded Bachelor’s degree in Acupuncture and Tuina after 5 years study at the Shaanxi College of Chinese Medicine, Xianyang, Shaanxi province.

Tuina Specialist Clinical Experience  

In 2004/5 Kevin worked as an acupuncturist and Tuina massage therapist in the hospital affiliated to Shaanxi College of Chinese Medicine. From 2005- 2009 he worked as an Intern at the Guoyitang Hospital of BUCM, Beijing. In 2010 Kevin took up his position as Tuina therapist at the Shanghai Clinic in Manchester.
Dr Zhang has specific expertise in treating Stiff Neck, Back Pain, Frozen Shoulder, Tennis/Golf Elbow, Lumbago, Sciatica, Knee and Ankle problems, Hemiplegia, Headache, Stress, Depression, Anxiety and Insomnia with Tuina massage.

Dr Mulan –Specialist in Internal MedicineDr. Mulan trained for 9 years in the two most prestigious universities in China. She was awarded the Bachelor Degree in 1990 at Beijing TCM University and her Masters in Chinese Medicine at First Military Medical University in 2004. She was Deputy Consultant physician of the department of internal medicine in the Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital and 518 hospital in Xi An. She further trained in the department of Kidney Internal Medicine in Xijing hospital and pediatrics in Tang Gu hospital at Fourth Military Medical University.

Dr Mulan came to the UK to practice as a TCM doctor in 2007. Mulan has a wealth of experience in treating internal diseases and she is a fellow member of the ATCM.

Dr Xiang Gao

Dr. Xiang Gao, whose English name is Richard, graduated from Nanjing TCM University in 1985 with a Bachelor Degree before entering the Chinese Internal Medicine Higher Class course in 1986.

In 1990 he started to work as an internal medicine physician in the Chinese Medicine Hospital of Jiangsu Province. He had published several papers in many renowned medical magazines such as ‘Jiangsu Chinese Medicine’ and ‘New Chinese Medicine’.

Richard was promoted to the position of physician-in-charge in 1993 and became a vice chief physician in 2000. He worked as a director in several different departments including as internal medicine, paediatrics and clinic.

During both work and study Richard has been taught by several highly respected TCM experts and professors. Richard has used all of his experience and training to develop his own diagnostic and treating method, which is now be applied on a wide variety of medical challenges and rare illnesses in various fields, such as internal medicine, gynaecology and paediatrics.

Richard has also absorbed Western medicine knowledge and combining this with TCM, had undertaken several research projects involving both theory and clinical research. Richard has accumulated deep diagnostic experience of many types of disease, for instance, bronchial trouble, asthma, arthritis, eczema, backache, male and female problems.

Richard can communicate fluently with patients in both Chinese and English. He has practiced in Shanghai Acupuncture Clinic since September 2008 and is highly appreciated by all of his patients.
