Professor Shulan Tang established the Shulan Clinic in Chorlton, Manchester, in 1993. The clinic was later relocating to larger premises in Didsbury, Manchester.
The Didsbury Chinese Medicine clinic is very popular with patients of all ages and all nationalities. Here, Prof Tang treats patients using Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, in pleasant and tranquil surroundings.

In 2007, Shulan acquired the Shanghai Clinic of Acupuncture on Portland Street, just off Piccadilly, in Manchester city centre. The Shanghai Clinic of Acupuncture was opened in 1988 and in over twenty years of practice has developed a very strong reputation for treating numerous complaints and illnesses through acupuncture and other Chinese medicine and herbal remedies.
In addition to Prof Tang, three other well qualified Chinese doctors practice at the Shanghai clinic, using Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Tuina Therapeutic Massage.

Dr Zhang is a Tuina massage specialist Tuina is a deep massage for specific illnesses and is very popular with people who do not like acupuncture. Tuina massage treatment also includes acupressure.
